About The Position

The Crew Lead has the primary responsibility for managing shifts and conveying the Café Lola culture to his/her Crewmembers and guests. He/she should be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to Café Lola. He/she will be responsible for upholding Café Lola standards for the Crewmember and guest experiences. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operationally Driven: Lead “What We Do” on each shift; at Café Lola, “What We Do” is provide an elevated café experience through food and drink paired with a warm smile and industry leading service! Lead high energy shifts; leverage company provided tools to run high performing shifts; be a hands on working manager; execute key measures of the shift to include: cleanliness, maintenance, labor, guest service, food quality and culture of the restaurant to assure Café Lola standards are being met in these areas; be a guest advocate communicating needs to Crewmembers to assure guest satisfaction during each shift; responsible for restaurants performance on and off scheduled shifts. Proactively manage your shift with KASADA, prep and administrative duties. People Management: Coach, develop and train Crewmembers on proper Café Lola procedures on each shift; screen prospective Crewmembers to match Café Lola job qualifications; motivate Crewmembers to maximize their potential on each shift; assure Crewmember and guest safety throughout the shift; manage and report all risk management issues per company standard; lead and support adherence to company uniform policy during shift. Fiscally Fit: Support management on all areas that impact the business to include: labor cost, waste monitoring, sales and costs of goods; monitor management of daily cash procedures; provide accurate inventory and reporting data; provide a sense of urgency when handling all Crewmembers and guest situations to ensure a successful restaurant operation Guest Focused: Understand the purpose, rationale, requirements and desired results of all company driven programs and initiatives; actively collaborate, organize and support the restaurant to remain guest focused; manages the team execution of the service steps at the guest level; manages the team expectation of food quality and delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required, some College preferred
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Minimum of 6 months of previous food service, retail or restaurant supervisory experience
  • Proficient in a variety of technology systems, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), POS systems and able to adapt to new systems quickly
  • Have the ability to lift and carry, push or pull heavy objects up to 50 pounds; kneel, bend or stoop, ascend or descend stairs; reach and grasp objects
  • Takes initiative
  • Has excellent verbal and written skills
  • Is a brand ambassador both in and outside of the restaurant
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and empower the Cane’s Crewmembers to higher levels of performance
  • Ability to align Crewmembers with Café Lola culture by balancing working hard and having fun
  • Ability to manage basic tasks and the restaurant’s Crewmembers
  • Ability to recognize problems and problem solve
  • Ability to set goals and convert plans into action
