About The Position

The Crew Lead for Solar and Battery Installations at Solare Energy, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the installation and repair of solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This role involves leading a team of installers, planning project requirements, and directly engaging with customers to confirm installation details.

Requirements

• Experience leading crews on the installation of solar and battery systems.
• Strong work ethic, self-motivation, organization, and a can-do attitude.
• Customer service skills.
• Desire to learn all aspects of installing solar and battery systems.
• Understanding of electrical wiring of AC and DC systems.
• Experience with all types of hand-held and power tools.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Electrician
• Experience with all types of building materials -- various roof types, stucco, wood, concrete, Uni-Strut, and others.

Responsibilities

• Read detailed electrical and structural plans and verify accuracy.
• Plan equipment and material needs prior to job start.
• Meet with customers to confirm solar layout and equipment location, discuss changes.
• Install anchors/flashings and properly seal penetrations, install racking and modules on the roof.
• Run electrical wires/conduit from the roof arrays to the inverter/battery location.
• Install inverters/batteries and connect them to the electrical panel.
• Commission systems and provide access to customers.
• Train, lead, and supervise installers on the crew.
