The Lead Restoration Technician plays a critical role in leading disaster restoration projects, ensuring efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. This position requires hands-on leadership, technical expertise, and strong organizational skills to manage crews, assess losses, and execute emergency services. Requirements

  • Certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) or Fire & Smoke Restoration (FSRT) or Applied Structural Drying (ASD).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Two or more years experience in disaster restoration or related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions (hot, cold, wet, dusty, etc.).
  • Available to work Monday through Friday, with on-call availability for evenings and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using MICA/Mitigate, Xactanlysis, or other industry related applications.
  • Knowledge of ITEL sample collection and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with the ServiceMaster QRV Program and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct restoration crews, ensuring projects are executed efficiently while providing support and motivation, and enforce proper clock-in procedures for team members and jobs.
  • Coordinate with Production Managers on scheduling, review schedules in advance to identify errors and prepare for the day, and ensure the team begins preparations by scheduled start time.
  • Maintain clear communication with Project Managers, Production Coordinators, and team members, including job progress updates, and submit completed scope sheets.
  • Ensure accurate documentation by capturing labeled photos of demoed rooms, cleaning, antimicrobial application, equipment used, detached items, and collecting properly labeled ITEL samples.
  • Ensure all required work authorizations are signed before starting work, assist in obtaining signatures if needed, set expectations for COS signings, document three contact attempts, conduct daily moisture monitoring with photo documentation, and assist with equipment pickup and final walkthrough.
  • Conduct walk-throughs with the scope sheet, perform emergency tasks and capture initial photos, prioritize site preparation, complete demolition per guidelines, and ensure proper debris disposal.
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience by using Pro Assist to notify customers of arrival times, maintaining proper clock-in procedures, and arriving professionally with visible name badges.
  • Ensure adherence to scope sheet guidelines, review daily task assignments, set expectations for COS signings, and conduct daily moisture monitoring with photo documentation.
  • Remain onsite for the entirety of the scheduled shift, which may exceed 8 hours, to ensure project continuity and team efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned or apparent.
