Crew Chief - Contract Cleaning Operations (Janitorial Experience Required)
About The Position
$$$ PAID ON THE JOB TRAINING $$$ The Arc of Ocean County is currently seeking a part-time Crew Chief to provide training, supervision, and support to individuals with disabilities who are part of a community cleaning crew. This position requires travel throughout Ocean County to support a variety of contracted service locations. Schedule: This role requires a flexible schedule to meet the needs of multiple cleaning contracts. Availability must include at least one weekend shift per week. Pay: $21.75 per hour, paid on a bi-weekly schedule, with flexible evening and weekend availability. Description: The Crew Chief is responsible for leading a team that travels to various community sites to complete contracted cleaning services. This role includes supervising and supporting individuals with disabilities who are employed on the cleaning crew while ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to established quality standards. In addition to providing guidance and oversight, the Crew Chief works alongside the team performing janitorial duties to help ensure all customer expectations are met. Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license in good standing (no more than 5 points), with the ability to safely operate a 10–12 passenger van
- Minimum of two years of janitorial experience, including prior experience with stripping and waxing large floor surfaces
- Must successfully pass required state and federal background screening processes
- High school diploma or GED required

- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
