Position Summary: The Lead Mitigation Crew Chief oversees and performs water, fire, mold, and other property damage restoration projects. This position leads a field crew in performing mitigation services according to IICRC standards, company policies, and insurance requirements. The Crew Chief ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining excellent communication with customers, team members, and management. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Operations Supervise, train, and motivate technicians on-site during mitigation jobs. Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards. Ensure all crew members follow IICRC standards and company protocols. Lead by example in professionalism, work ethic, and customer service. Project Management Evaluate and scope property damage (water, fire, mold, etc.) and determine appropriate mitigation methods. Manage project timelines, documentation, and workflow from start to completion. Utilize company software (e.g., Encircle, DASH, PuroLogic, etc.) for job tracking and documentation. Coordinate equipment setup, monitoring, and removal, ensuring optimal drying conditions and accurate readings. Complete moisture mapping, psychrometric calculations, and drying logs. Customer Relations Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, property managers, and insurance representatives. Explain the mitigation process and set proper expectations with customers. Maintain customer satisfaction through transparency, empathy, and professionalism. Compliance & Safety Ensure job sites meet all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment in proper working order. Adhere to OSHA, EPA, and IICRC safety and quality guidelines.
