About The Position

The Creo Designer role involves developing and creating mechanical and electro-mechanical designs for various components and assemblies, specifically for the DOD-Aerospace sector. The position requires collaboration with multiple stakeholders to refine design specifications and ensure compliance with military and industrial standards. The designer will utilize Creo 7 for CAD methodologies and will be responsible for preparing design layouts, schematics, and ensuring the compatibility of CAD models with simulation software.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 9 years of design/drafting experience using Pro-E/Creo CAD systems, with mandatory Creo 7 experience.
  • Experience in preparing complex design layouts and coordinating with engineering teams.
  • Proficient in tolerance analysis and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Extensive experience with CAD equipment, 3D modeling, and manipulation of design files.
  • Strong knowledge of military drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards.
  • Comprehensive understanding of product lines at the component, subsystem, and system levels.
  • Familiarity with production methods and human factors.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a defense environment or with military applications.
  • MBD (Model-Based Definition) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with Combat Vehicle design is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and create mechanical and electro-mechanical designs for components and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, vendors, and customers to establish design specifications.
  • Ensure designs are free of layout and process defects, adhering to design standards.
  • Apply CAD methodologies and techniques, focusing on Creo 7.
  • Prepare and review design layouts, schematics, and drawings to meet system requirements.
  • Ensure CAD models are compatible with modeling and simulation software.
  • Prepare drawing packages compliant with military and ASME standards.
  • Review and check completed designs, test plans, and reports for clarity and completeness.
  • Coordinate with systems engineers to meet contractual and technical requirements.
  • Evaluate completed drawings for producibility and appropriateness of tolerances.

Benefits
