About The Position

The Crematory Assistant will handle all tasks related to cremation of animals in the hospital. This is a Part-Time position starting at $16-$18/hour based on experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Knowledge of medical procedures and animal handling
• Must have computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must possess strong communication skills, good judgement and be able to manage stressful situations
• Must have the physical and mental capacity to perform in a fast paced and challenging environment
• Must be dependable, demonstrate a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Driver's License in good standing and a good driving record

Responsibilities

• Pickup and return remains from hospitals
• Tag, label & document in all logs
• Cremate animals
• Process ashes, pack in urns, make nameplates, complete certificates
• Maintain cleanliness of the crematory
• Manage all phone calls
