About The Position

This position will assist in the BXCI Valuation process for the BXC managed funds. Building and maintaining valuation models by working with the investment teams and finance teams while coordinating with 3rd party independent valuation specialists Supporting the BXCI monthly and quarterly valuation process by creating deliverables including portfolio company dashboards, portfolio summaries, liquidity analyses, etc. Adhering to best practices in development of valuation methodologies, including compliance with ASC 820 Fair Value guidance Leads people activities (e.g., recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and workplace culture activities) and actively mentor and manage junior team members Performing analysis to incorporate all relevant information into the valuation process including analysis of the transaction structure, the modeling and methodology adopted, available market data and/or any proxies considered appropriate, applicable reserves/valuation adjustments and any relevant regulatory, risk or accounting considerations Execute creative solutions to challenges and new initiatives Analysis and formal communication of key valuation results, issues and risks to senior management (i.e. Valuation Committee, etc.) on a monthly basis Assisting with LP and stakeholder reporting by maintaining company performance metrics and valuation analytics on a centralized platform Supporting the year-end audit valuation testing by responding to audit inquiries relating to valuation models and related documentation Perform special projects and ad-hoc analyses determined by the needs of senior management Review of models and deliverables prepared by junior staff

Requirements

  • 6+ years of valuation experience at a public accounting firm, third party valuation provider, or investment bank/asset manager
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Detailed knowledge of private investment valuation
  • Detailed knowledge of financial instrument valuation and risks measurement in a complex product area
  • A highly motivated individual with strong work ethic
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Analytical/problem solver and proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
  • Effectively prioritizes deliverables and meets deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Progress towards a finance-related professional qualification (i.e. CFA, CPA) preferred
