About The Position

The Credit Union Advisor is responsible for building long-term relationships with Members through in-person interactions, video conferencing, and phone communications. This role requires the individual to consistently exhibit and communicate an exemplary first impression as the primary point of contact. The advisor works to understand Members' financial needs and addresses each need by making appropriate product and service recommendations. The position demands extraordinary service and value, providing the highest level of member service to leave a positive impact with each encounter. The advisor supports TTCU's Mission, Vision, and Core Values, ensuring that all interactions and service standards align with these core beliefs. Compliance with regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act, is essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related discipline preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to become a notary public and qualify for Oklahoma Resident Limited Producer License (NMLS).
  • Completion of TTCU's Teller Training Program within 60 days of hire.
  • Completion of TTCU's Credit Union Advisor Training Program within 90 days of hire.
  • Completion of CUNA's Certified Financial Counselor Certification (FiCEP) within 12 months of hire.
  • Pass Branch Operations Credit Union Advisor III Exam (80% or higher) within 18 months of hire.
  • 4 years of customer service experience in banking, retail, or related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills in Spanish or another language preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Members and non-members with loan applications, including gathering information, auditing for completeness, and maintaining communication regarding loan status.
  • Open new accounts in-person, by phone, or video conferencing, ensuring all required information is complete and complies with TTCU policies.
  • Assist Branch Management with duties, including building relationships with Members, achieving production and service goals, and providing technical support.
  • Contribute to the achievement of production and service goals by building trusting relationships with Members and staying informed on current products and services.
