About The Position

Viking Electric, a Sonepar company, is seeking a Credit Supervisor to lead our Chicago market credit team and help drive strong financial performance through effective credit management, coaching, and customer support. What You’ll Do As a Credit Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing credit operations, supporting team performance, and partnering with our sales and customer teams. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of progressive credit management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and related systems
  • Ability to independently follow procedures and make sound decisions
  • Valid driver’s license; limited travel required

Nice To Haves

  • Supervisory or lead experience preferred
  • Experience in construction distribution or similar industry desired

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the Chicago Credit team (4–5 direct reports)
  • Monitor workload, provide training, and deliver ongoing coaching and performance management
  • Respond to account inquiries from customers, internal associates, and outside organizations
  • Resolve account issues, maintain billing accuracy, and protect customer goodwill
  • Approve orders, maintain credit data, and securely share credit information when appropriate
  • Partner with Customers and the Sales Team to resolve credit concerns in a professional, timely manner
  • Assist Credit Analysts in managing open receivables to ensure timely collection
  • Support the Credit Manager with regulatory requirements and internal control compliance
