About The Position

Viking Electric, a Sonepar company, is seeking a Credit Supervisor to lead our Chicago market credit team and help drive strong financial performance through effective credit management, coaching, and customer support. What You’ll Do As a Credit Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing credit operations, supporting team performance, and partnering with our sales and customer teams. Requirements

Minimum 3 years of progressive credit management experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Teams, and related systems
Ability to independently follow procedures and make sound decisions
Valid driver’s license; limited travel required

Nice To Haves

Supervisory or lead experience preferred
Experience in construction distribution or similar industry desired

Responsibilities

Supervise and support the Chicago Credit team (4–5 direct reports)
Monitor workload, provide training, and deliver ongoing coaching and performance management
Respond to account inquiries from customers, internal associates, and outside organizations
Resolve account issues, maintain billing accuracy, and protect customer goodwill
Approve orders, maintain credit data, and securely share credit information when appropriate
Partner with Customers and the Sales Team to resolve credit concerns in a professional, timely manner
Assist Credit Analysts in managing open receivables to ensure timely collection
Support the Credit Manager with regulatory requirements and internal control compliance
