About The Position

The Credit Specialist at HSBC plays a crucial role in providing credit-related advice and support to Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and Relationship Managers. This position involves structuring, negotiating, underwriting, and closing new credit opportunities, ensuring optimal delivery of bespoke credit products, and maintaining strong relationships across various teams within the organization. The role requires proactive identification of new business opportunities and collaboration with the Credit Risk function to assess risks and monitor lending guidelines.

Requirements

• Understanding and expertise in various credit products offered by HSBC Private Bank, including Private Equity Capital Calls, Financial Sponsors, Art, Aircraft, Yacht, and Life Insurance Premium Financing.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Provide bespoke lending solutions to UHNW clients.
• Ensure optimal delivery of credit products and capabilities to key customers.
• Meet with key clients to deliver complex credit solutions.
• Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities for clients.
• Collaborate closely with the Credit Risk function.
• Maintain and build strong relationships across all teams in Group Private Bank.
• Network with internal partners in Commercial Banking and Global Banking to drive UHNW opportunities.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide credit recommendations.
• Monitor lending guidelines and implement changes in GPB Credit risk appetite.
