About The Position

Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking an experienced Credit Specialist to oversee credit operations, develop credit policies, and manage risk for financing programs. The role involves monitoring credit reports, conducting credit checks, analyzing data to assess risk, and collaborating with various departments to make informed credit decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or related field; or relevant master's degree preferred
• At least 1+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis
• Strong understanding of equipment financing and leasing industry
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Proficient in financial modelling and risk assessment techniques
• Experience with credit management and CRM systems
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with asset-based lending practices

Responsibilities

• Regularly monitor and manage credit reports for customers.
• Ensure that all credit reports are up to date and accurate.
• Conduct thorough credit checks using internal and external tools, including credit bureaus, to assess clients' creditworthiness.
• Analyze credit reports and other relevant data to assess the risk involved in lending or extending credit.
• Evaluate the credit risk of clients and applicants by reviewing their financial history, current financial condition, and potential for repayment.
• Work closely with other departments (such as sales, finance, and risk management) to assess credit situations and make informed decisions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to relevant teams.
• Prepare and present detailed credit reports and summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
• Assist in developing strategies to mitigate risk.
• Reach out to clients to gather information, clarify discrepancies, and communicate any concerns related to their creditworthiness.
• Ensure that all credit activities adhere to relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Keep up to date with industry trends, financial regulations, and credit management best practices to continuously improve the company's credit evaluation processes.
