About The Position

If so, the Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank) invites you to apply for our 2026 Summer Internship Program ! We’re looking for well-rounded, motivated students to join us for a 10-week paid internship where you’ll gain hands-on experience, build your professional network, and develop valuable skills in a dynamic business environment. What You’ll Experience As a Credit Risk intern at FHLBank, you’ll:

Requirements

  • Have completed at least their sophomore year of undergraduate studies. Graduate students encouraged to apply!
  • Are majoring in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics
  • Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
  • Work well independently and in team settings
  • Are detail-oriented, organized, and eager to solve problems

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive written credit reviews for member institutions to assess financial health and risk exposure.
  • Collaborate on the preparation, formatting, and timely distribution of detailed credit and risk reports.
  • Aggregate and analyze large data sets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Perform specialized analyses to support remediation of internal and external findings, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve processes and strengthen risk management practices.
  • Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate across teams and present analytical results effectively
  • Contribute to meaningful projects that align with your field of study
  • Gain exposure to the finance and banking industry
  • Participate in team-building activities, a group project, a community service event, and professional development sessions (including dining etiquette!)
