We're looking for an intern to join our Origination Credit Risk team! This role focuses specifically on Originations – the critical first line of defense in the lending lifecycle. You will work closely with the team and cross-functional partners to drive data-driven decisions that balance prudent risk management with aggressive growth in a dynamic FinTech environment.
Requirements
- You are an Undergraduate student majoring in Finance, Economics, Math, Analytics, or related field
- You have an interest in solving business problems by applying analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in SQL and Python.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- You are interested in both learning about and contributing to credit policy and strategy development
- This role is based on our downtown Chicago Office, located in the Merchandise Mart. We highly value collaboration and our hybrid schedule (M, T, Th in-office) enables flexibility to balance work and individual priorities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of customer segments, assessing risk performance and formulating strategic recommendations for leaderships.
- Support the team in strategy optimization from hypothesis and proposal to implementation and performance tracking
- Monitor and analyze economic and industry trends affecting credit risk.
- Perform comprehensive credit risk analysis for various portfolios.
- Prepare and present detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management.
