Job Title Credit Risk Analyst What does a successful Credit Risk Analyst do at Fiserv? You will work to identify, Mitigate and eliminate fraud and credit losses to Fiserv and our clients by conducting investigations to identify potentially high risk/suspicious merchant processing activity to protect the firm against financial loss.

Requirements

  • 2 year degree with prior work experience.
  • 2 years prior customer service experience or 1 year Fraud & Risk Experience
  • Ability to use programs such as Excel & Word
  • Ability to Multi-Task
  • You must be a detailed and organized individual
  • You may be required to work some weekends and holidays to meet deadlines.
  • The ability to meet deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree. (Business, Finance, Accounting, Criminal Justice, Pre-Law, etc.)
  • 1-year prior credit risk experience
  • Experience with MasterCard and Visa Association rules and regulations
  • Customer Service experience with track record of dealing in adverse situations
  • Strong analytical, quantitative and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Make real time decisions to properly identify situations that require deeper investigation with the ability to identify emerging fraud trends.
  • Coordinate risk mitigation and fraud remediation efforts with other areas of the business such as Funding, Legal, Operations, Client Services, etc.
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external partners to present high risk activity with recommended and/or required actions.
  • Work in a fast paced environment reviewing many accounts to identify potentially high risk/suspicious merchant processing activity to protect the firm against financial loss.
  • You will review and investigate merchant accounts to assess fraud and credit risk exposure.
  • Negotiate collateral requirements and restructuring terms as required.
  • Resolve merchant inquiries through scheduled calls.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • You will read and interpret documents.
  • You will calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
  • You will exercise discretion and independent judgment in making decisions and interact effectively and positively with all levels of personnel, partners, and vendors.
  • You will work independently or in a team environment & work efficiently in stressful situations.
