Requirements

  • Detail-oriented, strong analytical skills, ability to use sound logic and reasoning to identify solutions and reach conclusions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills facilitating collaboration within CRM and the broader Enterprise Risk management team and across the organization (front office business, IT, operations, and management).
  • Identify complex problems and critically review related information to develop and evaluate options and recommend solutions.
  • Ability to interact positively and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and various business units, with strong attention to detail.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision, focus on accuracy, and complete assigned responsibilities within agreed time frames.
  • Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or other quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum Required: 2-4 years of work experience in banking or finance, preferably working in a capital markets environment or with capital markets products.
  • Strong in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of SQL or similar language is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the accurate and timely reporting and analysis of credit risk across multiple front office systems to meet enterprise risk management, senior management, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify, measure, analyze, and aggregate various counterparty credit risk measures, including margin exposure and financial metrics, as defined in Stifel's counterparty exposure framework.
  • Utilize Credit Application to map transactions from various internal front office systems and files to aggregate exposures by credit group, counterparty, products, and sectors across multiple capital market products.
  • Perform data validation checks, enrich existing counterparty reporting, propose new counterparty credit exposure reports, and recommend improvements to existing processes.
  • Enhance and maintain documentation of exposure framework, along with ongoing validation procedures to meet Stifel requirements.
  • Participate in industry reviews to assign internal risk ratings.
