About The Position

Citibank, N.A. seeks a Credit Review Senior Officer I for its Irving, TX location. DUTIES: Assess the effectiveness of credit risk management as well as the ability of the business and independent risk to identify, monitor, and mitigate current and emerging credit risks. Oversee Banking and International Credit Review (BICR) entities through periodic full Risk Differentiated Reviews (RDR) and quarterly reviews (Business Monitoring). Lead BICR reviews for assigned entity Global Debt Investment Securities (DIS) and other entities that could be assigned from the existing portfolio. Review transactions to analyze credit data, legal and corporate structures to determine if the risk involved in extending credit or any other product type is in line with the bank’s risk appetite. Perform sovereign credit risk and cross-border risk analysis to identify, monitor, and provide solutions to current and emerging credit risks across business lines. Perform assessment of the quality of assigned portfolios and relationships including identification and evaluation of emerging risks and the effectiveness of credit risk controls. Evaluate the quality and adequacy of credit analysis and exposure analysis as well as accuracy and appropriateness of risk ratings and classifications of corporate, commercial, and high-net worth relationships. Meet with stakeholders to conduct business reviews. Evaluate adequacy of business and risk staffing levels. Prepare Credit Assessment Documents, Sample Rationale Documents, and BICR Review Reports created for assigned review entities. Support Credit Review Managers, Senior Credit Review Managers and Global Head of BICR on cluster and/or global tasks. Present findings and significant deficiencies to Credit Review Portfolio Managers and BICR Senior Management. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation performing credit risk assessments and risk rating activities. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Assessing credit quality, underwriting standards, and risk rating accuracy in complex credit portfolios including commercial and industrial loans, real estate, and structured products; Interpreting financial statements, cash flow models, and stress testing results to identify potential credit weaknesses and recommend mitigative actions; Monitoring and staying up to date with banking regulations to ensure credit reviews align with regulatory expectations and internal policies; Leading review teams, mentoring junior staff, and communicating findings to senior management and stakeholders through detailed reports and presentations; Reviewing credit files and documentation, maintaining objectivity to provide unbiased assessments of credit risk without influence from business lines. Requirements
