About The Position
As a Summer Analyst on Susquehanna's Credit Research team, you will be partnered with our senior analysts and traders to assist in identifying investment opportunities in the credit and bond markets. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the financial markets through hands-on experience and classroom education. You will learn to perform in-depth company analysis and provide opinions on how a company's credit profile might change with new information. Your responsibilities will include tracking company news and events, assisting with valuation work, and engaging in other event-driven projects. The ten-week summer internship program introduces you to our unique approach to research, combining work on a trading desk with classroom study in options theory basics. As a Summer Credit Analyst, you will work directly on the trading floor, collaborating with Equity and Macro Analysts as well as Fixed Income, ETF, and Derivatives traders to identify investment ideas. This internship serves as our primary source for hiring full-time Credit Analysts, emphasizing our commitment to education and development. You will experience firsthand how our analyst opinions impact trading decisions and gain practical exposure needed to perform your daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will participate in classroom education where you will learn about options and the decision-making strategies that our traders employ. This role provides a unique opportunity to combine the quantitative aspects of finance with creative problem-solving to develop trade ideas in a fast-paced proprietary trading environment.
