About The Position

DESCRIPTION: Duties: Manage a Portfolio of over 100 Credit Clients. Complete annual reviews on all clients within the portfolio. Review and decide on new credit requests that come in for clients and prospects. Renew credit facilities when they mature. Review documents and execute them for the bank. Advise bankers on credit questions they may have about their clients and prospects. Assist with ongoing portfolio maintenance and reporting the team may need. Conduct credit analysis on assigned set of clients and present the conclusion of the analysis. Interpret financial statements to assess fiscal health and funding mechanisms. Monitor and manage a portfolio of client credit exposures across industry classes, taking ownership of ongoing credit needs. Prepare and present quarterly and annual risk reviews, tiering analyses, assigning risk rating and maintain updated credit research on portfolio of clients. Analyze the unique financial structures and funding mechanisms in these sectors, considering diverse revenue and expenditure streams. Develop forward-looking risk assessments addressing challenges such as regulatory changes, policy impacts, demographic shifts, and mission-driven financial management. Participate in due diligence meetings with sector-specific stakeholders to gain insights into their financial strategies and operational priorities. Assess impacts on key value drivers utilizing advanced models tailored to each sector, incorporating variables including revenue streams, enrollment projections, reimbursement trends, and donor funding cycles. Design and recommend credit structures that align with financial cycles and regulatory requirements, supporting strategic initiatives including capital projects, program expansions, and mission-driven activities. Prepare and review credit approval materials with a focus on compliance and governance standards relevant to each sector. Analyze and negotiate covenants and legal documentation to ensure terms are appropriate and compliant with regulations, procurement laws, and donor restrictions. Assist in negotiating, finalizing, and executing loan documents, ensuring seamless coordination and compliance through effective collaboration across various functions. Ensure risk ratings accurately reflect the current and future financial health of clients, considering economic conditions, policy changes, and funding landscapes. Provide early identification and proactive management of deteriorating credits and problem situations. Assist with training new team members. QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Credit Officer, Financial Analyst, Credit Manager, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Credit Officer, Financial Analyst, Credit Manager, or related occupation. Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: Commercial banking and lending including credit analysis. This position requires any amount of experience with the following: Underwriting, credit analysis, and financial statement analysis to assess fiscal health and scrutinize financial structures and funding mechanisms; Preparing and presenting risk reviews, tiering analyses, and assign risk ratings; Conducting risk assessments addressing regulatory changes, policy impacts, and market and economic scenarios; Corporate finance and advanced financial modeling, including cash flow models and market dynamics; Interpreting legal documentation and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and sector-specific laws, with an understanding of governance standards; Negotiating, finalizing, and executing loan documents through effective collaboration across functions; Bank credit products including revolving lines of credit, term loans, direct purchase bonds, tax- exempt financing, derivatives products, treasury facilities, letters of credit, and card programs; GAAP accounting standards.
