Credit Manager- Large Ticket

About The Position

Contribute to strategic direction for large‑ticket credit underwriting, portfolio risk, and policy execution in alignment with company growth goals. Establish and maintain credit risk frameworks, approval authorities, and underwriting standards for transactions typically exceeding $5MM. Act as a senior credit authority on complex transactions, including exceptions and non‑standard structures. Oversee and review detailed financial analysis of borrowers, guarantors, collateral, and transaction structures across diverse industries. Evaluate credit exposure, covenant structures, collateral adequacy, and residual risk associated with large‑ticket equipment finance transactions. Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Provide executive‑level reporting and insights on portfolio health, credit performance, and risk metrics. Partner closely with sales and operations teams to support efficient deal execution while maintaining credit discipline. Support syndication and participation strategies by providing clear credit rationale and risk positioning to internal and external stakeholders. Participate in portfolio purchases, credit handoffs, and complex deal structuring discussions. Lead, mentor, and develop credit professionals within the Large Ticket Credit team. Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to strengthen underwriting quality and consistency. Foster a culture of accountability, sound judgment, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in credit, risk management, or underwriting within equipment finance or commercial lending.
  • Extensive experience underwriting and approving large‑ticket ($5MM+) equipment finance transactions.
  • Deep understanding of financial statement analysis, cash flow modeling, collateral evaluation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Strong leadership, decision‑making, and communication skills with the ability to influence at the executive level.
  • Experience with syndications, participations, and complex multi‑party transactions
