About The Position

The Credit Insurance Representative II (Insurance Protection Representative II) is responsible for providing excellent service to Members seeking information on insurance products offered through SchoolsFirst Insurance Services. This role involves maintaining and updating existing policies to ensure favorable coverage, cost, and terms for Property and Casualty insurance products, as well as retaining and servicing existing accounts. The representative will respond to Member inquiries regarding policy coverage, limitations, and claim processing procedures, and will review policies sold for compliance with applicable insurance regulations. Additionally, the representative will maintain a California Department of Insurance license and status for life and property & casualty for SchoolsFirst FCU. The role includes scheduling and conducting training sessions on insurance programs for SchoolsFirst FCU staff, preparing and balancing monthly/quarterly billings for applicable products, and providing technical and operational assistance to branch personnel on all insurance products and procedures. The representative will also provide consultative services to Members regarding credit union products and services by assessing their needs and addressing their concerns.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-3 years of previous related experience required.
  • California Property and Casualty Insurance License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in administering non-deposit insurance related products.
  • Knowledge of consumer related insurance.
  • Preferred knowledge of AD & D, Debt Cancellation, Credit Insurance, Mechanical Breakdown Protection, GAP and other related insurance products.

Responsibilities

  • Provides excellent service to Members seeking information on insurance products.

  • Provides consultative services to Members regarding credit union products and services.
  • Processes changes, including coverage changes, and follows up with vendors to ensure accuracy.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements.

  • Competitive pay range of $24.20 - $35.09.
