About The Position

Make a Real Difference: No Experience Needed, We'll Train You Family Credit Management is the only nonprofit debt management company based in Illinois, and one of the largest in the nation. We are looking for compassionate, motivated people to join our team. You don't need experience in finance or credit counseling; in fact, we prefer you don't have it! We will give you all the training you need. If you enjoy written communication, like helping others, and are ready to learn, this could be a great fit. Most of your work will be through text and email , and some phone calls. You will help people who are overwhelmed by debt understand their options, create realistic repayment plans for them, and create a path for them to move toward financial stability.

Requirements

People who write clearly and professionally (you'll mostly use email and text)
A calm, caring approach and an eagerness to help others
Openness to learning; we provide full training
Strong follow-through and attention to detail
Reliable attendance and good time management
High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn new tools
A desire to help people and be part of a supportive, mission-driven team

Nice To Haves

Prior customer service, sales, or office experience is helpful, but not required

Responsibilities

Respond to online quote requests and inquiries, emails, and text messages from people seeking help
Review budgets and credit reports (we'll show you how)
Help clients understand their options and guide them through how our Debt Management Program could benefit them
Use Salesforce, Outlook, and other tools to stay organized and manage your work
Communicate with care, professionalism, and empathy
