About The Position

The Credit Card Representative I/II at Tower Federal Credit Union is responsible for managing all credit card processes efficiently and accurately to meet daily deadlines. This role involves direct member support, requiring effective communication and professional service primarily through phone and email interactions. The representative will handle tasks such as verifying new credit cards, resolving errors, processing balance transfer requests, and managing billing inputs, all while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3-4 years of related experience for Level I; 5 or more years for Level II.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to perform mathematical functions accurately and reconcile transaction records.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing credit card processing.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree preferred for Level II positions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and effective service to members and Tower staff regarding credit card inquiries with minimal supervision.
  • Complete member requests for maintenance and account access to enable credit card usage in a professional manner.
  • Interact directly with members, frontline staff, and internal partners to complete daily tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Research error resolution requests and adjust member accounts according to standards and procedures.
  • Verify, prepare, and post monthly and quarterly credit card brand billing independently.
  • Record daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual statistics accurately using reports or software applications.
  • Assist in researching and analyzing vendor or program errors and communicate findings to the appropriate software vendor.
  • Verify and process applications for credit card orders independently, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Cross-train on various tasks to provide coverage based on business needs and seek increased responsibilities.
