About The Position

The Risk Management Manager is responsible for leading and managing 4Front Credit Union's comprehensive risk management program. This includes overseeing fraud prevention, compliance oversight, audit coordination, vendor management, and consumer compliance. The role ensures that the organization identifies, mitigates, and monitors risks across various areas, emphasizing compliance with consumer protection laws and regulatory frameworks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Thorough understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in the financial services industry.
  • Experience in risk management, compliance, fraud prevention, vendor management, or audit.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations impacting credit unions, including consumer compliance laws and BSA/AML requirements.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Other industry certification may be required.
  • Familiarity with risk management, compliance, and vendor management software and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the risk management program, including fraud prevention and compliance oversight.
  • Direct fraud prevention efforts and implement internal controls to mitigate fraudulent behavior.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with federal and state regulations, proactively addressing compliance risks.
  • Oversee the Vendor Management Program to ensure vendor relationships meet regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing risk management team, fostering accountability and improvement.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement strategies to address vulnerabilities.
  • Manage vendor relationships and provide guidance on vendor risk management practices.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
  • Analyze and manage corporate insurance and bond coverage needs.
  • Act as the credit union's representative with industry associations and regulatory bodies.
