How you'll make an impact: The Credit and Collections Coordinator is a hybrid role with flexibility to work both remotely and onsite at our Renton, WA facility, reporting to the site Controller. As a Credit and Collections Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the operation of the facility and the greater MRP corporate accounting team having primary responsibilities such as accounts receivable (AR) processing, billing, invoicing, collections, and customer management as well as providing some general accounting support as needed. A Day in the Life: Accounts Receivable: Generate invoices for customers accurately and in a timely manner. Record and post payments received from customers. Follow up with customers on overdue payments via phone and email. Manage credit hold process and communicate with customer service as holds are released. Maintain customer accounts, including verifying customer information, conducting credit checks, monitoring credit limits, updating records, and resolving any discrepancies. General Accounting Support: Communicate effectively with customers regarding inquiries and discrepancies. Support month-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations related to accounts receivable and bank reconciliations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements. Support external audit and tax preparation processes by providing documentation and answering inquiries. Assist with other special projects and/or ad hoc tasks as assigned.
