About The Position

The Credit Analyst at Lansing Building Products is responsible for processing and decisioning credit applications, resolving credit-related issues, and providing support to branch associates and customers. This role involves reviewing credit applications, determining appropriate credit limits, and managing customer accounts while ensuring a high level of customer service and accuracy in financial transactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2 years of related experience in credit analysis or accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is a plus but not required.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to handle high transaction volume and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and customer focus.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Supervising experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review credit applications for accuracy.
• Pull credit reports and request supplier references.
• Gather needed information from Sales Associates to facilitate credit limit decisioning.
• Independently determine the appropriate credit limit for submitted applications and rechecks on existing customer accounts.
• Handle incoming phone calls and emails from Lansing Associates and Customers to accept payments and resolve credit-related issues.
• Manage past due accounts and respond to billing questions.
• Reconcile accounting records with customers.
• Perform account set-up accurately and maintain accounts as requested by Sales Associates and Customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
