About The Position

Becoming a Credit Analyst II means stepping into a mission-driven role at the intersection of finance and the energy market. You won’t just be working with financial data — you’ll help support the financial safeguards that protect the stability of the regional power grid that millions of people and businesses rely on every day. Responsibilities include processing and managing financial security instruments such as Letters of Credit, Surety Bonds, and cash collateral, while ensuring postings are updated accurately and in accordance with SPP credit policy. The role also supports key collateral management activities, including updating interest-earning collateral balances and reconciling collateral held for both market trading and generation interconnection upgrade purposes. You will work closely with teams such as Accounting and Generation Interconnection to ensure financial security updates are completed accurately and in a timely manner. In addition, this position may assist with aspects of the market participant registration process and support other operational and analytical projects as assigned. The role provides opportunities to collaborate across departments and contribute to processes that help maintain the financial integrity of the market.
