We are a community bank with with the full resources of a larger banking organization. At this time, we are hiring for an exceptional Credit Analyst I for our Commercial team. This position may be performed and located in either Coeur d'Alene, ID or Boise, ID. The Credit Analyst I is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing credit authorizations, conducting annual credit reviews, evaluating commercial real estate, and supporting portfolio management of the commercial loan portfolio. The Credit Analyst must adhere to Mountain West Bank's high service standards for both internal and external customers. All employees must maintain regular and reliable attendance as this is an essential function of the position. This is a full-time, hourly position. Must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM for a total of 40 hours a week. Rate of pay depends on experience.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or 1 year experience in accounting or financial analysis
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 1+ year of banking experience
  • Experience with Jack Henry systems

Responsibilities

  • Prepare credit authorizations, loan information sheets, and supporting documentation for new and existing accounts.
  • Analyze financial statements and tax returns; identify trends and raise questions based on borrower and industry data.
  • Conduct internal evaluations of commercial real estate and analyze collateral values.
  • Communicate with borrowers to obtain or clarify financial information.
  • Support Relationship Managers with portfolio management tasks.
  • Monitor borrower financial condition and covenant compliance; report significant changes.
  • Maintain service level standards and comply with internal policies and applicable regulations, including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC.
  • Participate in bank and community events.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Flexibility to perform additional duties as needed.
