About The Position

Security Financial Bank (SFB) is seeking a Commercial Credit Analyst to support our commercial lending teams. This role is heavily focused on commercial credit analysis, working closely with relationship managers to evaluate business operations, commercial enterprises, and local organizations. The analyst plays a key role in assessing creditworthiness, understanding business financial performance, and supporting sound lending decisions that strengthen both our customers and our communities. This position is an in-office role based out of the corporate location in Eau Claire, WI. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred
Strong understanding of business financial statements, cash flow analysis, and business tax returns
Knowledge of commercial lending structures and common business organizational structures
Ability to assess debt serviceability and creditworthiness for commercial borrowers with moderate to complex financial structures
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and spreadsheet-based financial analysis
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with credit investigation tools such as credit bureau reports, UCC filings, tax lien searches, and other due diligence resources is beneficial
Familiarity with commercial loan types, including operating lines of credit, equipment loans, commercial real estate financing, and business acquisition financing
Experience with SageWorks analysis software and Jack Henry core systems is a plus

Responsibilities

Spreading and analyzing commercial financial information, including business financial statements, tax returns, personal financial statements, credit bureau information, cash flow projections, and pro-forma financial statements
Evaluating commercial businesses and organizations to determine overall credit risk and appropriate risk ratings in accordance with bank policy
Preparing detailed loan presentations that reflect business-specific risks, including industry conditions, market competition, management performance, and financial trends, while assisting in evaluating appropriate credit structures to mitigate risk and protect the bank’s asset quality
Analyzing collateral structures and valuations related to commercial lending, such as commercial real estate, equipment, inventory, receivables, and other business assets
Supporting Relationship Managers with annual reviews, technical exception monitoring, and adverse action processes for commercial relationships
Staying current on industry trends, economic conditions, and SWOT factors that may impact business customers and the bank’s commercial loan portfolio
Working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure compliant, timely, and well-structured commercial credits
