About The Position

The Credit Analyst I position involves analyzing corporate financial statements, including audited and review-level statements, as well as corporate tax returns. The analyst will spread financial statements, manage borrowing bases, and assist with covenant management. Responsibilities include completing written analyses on relationships with smaller commercial and agricultural exposures, conducting annual reviews of varying complexity to maintain asset quality, and assisting with administrative reporting for loan committees and credit risk committees. The analyst will also shadow seasoned analysts and officers regularly to enhance their skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance preferred
  • Equivalent education and commercial banking experience acceptable
  • Ability to interpret data while researching, analyzing, and drawing conclusions
  • Ability to read and understand loan documentation, loan structures, and financial statements
  • Strong knowledge of loan policy and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial statements, prepare spreads, assist with covenant management
  • Shadow experienced analysts and work on line renewals, annual reviews, modifications, and change memos
  • Complete necessary administrative/reporting functions and duties for the department
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions and RMA classes as needed
  • Travel and perform other duties as assigned
