About The Position
The Credit Analyst I position at Prosperity Bank is a full-time role based in College Station, TX, responsible for analyzing credit and financial reports to assess the risk associated with loaning money or extending credit. The analyst will engage in the spreading and analysis of commercial financial statements for both prospective and existing loan customers. This involves performing financial analysis and basic underwriting of loan packages, which includes trend analysis, equity and ratio analysis, loan structuring, collateral analysis, guarantor analysis, and calculating Global Debt Service Coverage. In addition to these responsibilities, the Credit Analyst will conduct loan reviews of existing commercial loans and recommend credit grades based on the creditworthiness of borrowers and the performance of the loans. The role also requires identifying documentation exceptions and evaluating underwriting processes. The analyst will be involved in conducting CRE Stress Test Analysis, reviewing Rent Rolls, Construction Budgets, Pro Forma Statements, and Feasibility Studies, as well as running CoStar reports. Preparing stress models and projected income scenarios is also part of the job, along with running background reports through LexisNexis. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the lending team and ensure thorough credit analysis.
