About The Position

The Credit Analyst I position at Cadence Bank involves performing financial and statistical analysis to assess the creditworthiness of loan requests. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline required.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• At least 9 hours of accounting coursework.
• Strong technical and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership through extracurricular activities and internship/work experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of credit risk analysis and underwriting principles, methods, and practices.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic research and financial/statistical analysis to determine and document creditworthiness.
• Compile analysis, borrower, industry, and other information into documents for review and approval.
• Obtain and analyze pertinent financial and credit data to assist in determining loan request risk.
• Complete financial and repayment analysis focusing on cash flow, liquidity, and leverage analysis.
• Assess strengths and weaknesses of loan requests.
• Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures when preparing analysis, reports, and presentations.
• Thoroughly document credit requests in the appropriate format.
• Conduct research to determine quality, character, and soundness of loan requests.
• Assist senior team members and commercial bankers in screening loan packages and collecting materials.
• Interact with other departments within the bank and may also interact with customers and accountants.
• Strive to minimize turnaround time while thoroughly documenting credit requests.
• Participate in training courses as requested.
