About The Position

The Program Coordinator will be responsible for the management and administration of the Credible Messenger Program, which provides mentoring services to youth and families involved with the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services Agency (DYRS). This role includes supervising mentors and parent coaches, communicating with DYRS, tracking and managing data, and coordinating with various stakeholders. The Program Coordinator will report directly to the Chief of Programs and is expected to work Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm, with on-call flexibility. The position requires relevant experience in the field, strong management abilities, and the maturity and integrity to manage Credible Messengers effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human services delivery system or related field with a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience; Master’s degree with at least 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth and families preferred.
  • Previous direct service, clinical, and supervisory experience needed.
  • DYRS experience is required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to complete FBI Background check, Police Clearance, Child Protection Clearance, and Driving Clearance.
  • Excellent time management, efficiency, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and be detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to work extra hours and attend meetings/training as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the program including enrollment, orientation, attendance, and effectiveness of individual and group implementations.
  • Maintain programmatic contractual responsibility ensuring all deliverables are met and resources are utilized appropriately.
  • Manage and support crisis intervention needs of youth and families using a strength competency-based framework.
  • Support and model the facilitation of therapeutic groups with youth and families experiencing crisis.
  • Conduct community-based home visits, school visits, and collateral visits for case management and crisis stabilization.
  • Monitor documentation of case notes, family engagement goals, psycho-social assessments, and court reports.
  • Collaborate with DYRS Case Managers to provide program updates for enrolled youth.
  • Enter case management data into systems such as FAMCARE and VisionServer.
  • Monitor facilitation of pro-social, psycho-educational groups for youth, teens, and families.
  • Provide staff supervision and evaluation to support professional development.
  • Facilitate the growth, healing, personal development, recovery, and transformation of system-involved youth.
  • Assist in training staff and ensuring they are up to date with training and community service projects.
  • Oversee and manage the program budget.
  • Submit reports on program progress, updates, outcomes, and achievements.
  • Participate in Lead Entity Coalition Meetings, DYRS management meetings, and other Credible Messenger Meetings.
  • Support the connection of resources to youth and families for services such as mental health and counseling.
  • Lead efforts to connect families to community support groups and workshops.
  • Liaise with mainstream agencies and participate in case conference meetings.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
