About The Position

This role supports Practice Operations by ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of provider credentialing documentation. July through September are the busiest months of the year due to the annual influx of new hires, making organization and attention to detail essential for success. The position may assist with preparation for NCQA/URAC and routinely audits practitioner files for compliance. This role is critical in ensuring providers are properly credentialed and ready to deliver exceptional patient care, offering an opportunity to build expertise in credentialing, work collaboratively across teams, and transition into a remote environment after training.

Requirements

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) required

  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) preferred
  • One to two years of hospital or healthcare experience preferred
  • One year of credentialing experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete and accurate provider credentialing and re‑credentialing files
  • Understand and anticipate daily provider needs related to credentialing
  • Review and audit files to ensure compliance and completeness
  • Collaborate with internal teams to obtain missing or additional documentation
  • Support enrollment of providers with government and commercial payer plans
  • Act as a resource for credentialing questions across departments
  • Provide administrative support to the credentialing committee
  • Assist with NCQA/URAC preparation and audits as needed
