This is a remote position, and candidates who reside in the Louisville Metro area will be given consideration ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Ensures that all eligible staff members follow the credentialing processes for obtaining and maintaining credentials required for their role with the organization. Maintains tracking of credentials throughout employment. Ensures all eligible staff members are credentialed with appropriate guarantors. Assists individual staff members with completion of necessary credentialing and tracks status of staff members' credentialing applications. Maintains current, accurate, and complete credentialing records. Ensures accuracy of credentialing information in organization’s EHR. Works closely with billing and HR department to problem solve and create efficient processes. Responds promptly and accurately to inquiries about credentialing both internally and externally. Assists in tracking of facility credentialing. The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Incumbents may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description. EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent with four years’ experience in related field, or Associate degree in a relevant field with two years’ experience in related field, or Bachelor’s degree with experience preferred. EXPERIENCE Credentialing experience highly preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Position has no unusual physical demands; individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. Position requires lifting of 10 pounds maximum, with occasional lifting of ledgers or computer runs. Position occasionally may require walking or standing, stooping or bending. Position involves continual use of a video display terminal. Additionally, all staff are expected to develop a working knowledge of and follow all policies and procedures related to safety management and other Joint Commission standards.
