ImageCare Radiology is looking to hire multiple candidates with specific credentialing experience for our Mt. Olive office. The schedule we are looking to fill is Monday to Friday 8:30 AM-5:00 PM. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Credentialing Specialist will be responsible for enrolling healthcare providers with insurance payers and managing the application process to ensure timely reimbursement for services.

Requirements

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
  • High school diploma, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; previous experience in healthcare billing, medical office, data entry, enrollment, or credentialing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, payer contracts, and the medical billing lifecycle is essential but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the credentialing process, verifying the credentials of healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with payor requirements and regulations.
  • Verify credentials, including education, training, board certification, licensure, malpractice insurance, , eligibility criteria, etc. to meet insurance network and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep accurate records of enrollment applications, statuses, and issues that arise during the process.
  • Review and maintain documentation of provider data in the enrollment databases, ensuring all information is current and accurate for billing and credentialing purposes.
  • Work closely with the billing department to resolve any denials or authorization issues related to provider credentialing.
  • Maintain effective communication with providers and payers to resolve enrollment issues and facilitate smooth operations, as well as notifying leadership of progress and challenges
  • Work closely with internal departments, such as Billing and Human Resources, to ensure that all onboarding and payer enrollment is up to date and claims are processed correctly.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
