The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for the credentialing and re-credentialing process for OSF HealthCare hospitals and the Direct Access Network. This position facilitates all aspects of credentialing, including appointment, reappointment, changes in privileges, changes in categories, and resignations. The Credentialing Specialist collaborates with Medical Staff Offices, OSF leadership, and recruitment to meet requested start dates. Ensures compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies such as The Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) with regard to credentialing and maintaining working knowledge of the statutes and laws.
