Lakewood Ranch Medical Center® (LWRMC), located in the heart of the Lakewood Ranch community, has served the people of Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas since 2004. The medical staff includes more than 750 physicians and allied health professionals who practice in a wide range of specialties. Requirements

  • Minimum of Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • CPCS certification required through National Association Medical Staff Services.
  • Minimum of 1-4 years of progressive experience in Medical Staff Services.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills and customer service skills required.
  • MD-Staff credentialing software knowledge preferred.
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, strong computer skills and customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Follow department policies and procedures.
  • Collect data for the verification and evaluation of providers applying for initial appointment and reappointment.
  • Interact with applicants, liaisons, department chairs, and medical staff leaders.
  • Assist the department in complying with applicable accreditation standards.
  • Maintain accurate and complete credentials files.
  • Maintain credentialing database to recognize potential discrepancies and adverse information.
  • Independently investigate and validate information.
  • Familiar with medical staff meeting management and minute taking.
  • Practice service excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
