About The Position

This position also performs credentialing pertaining to practice and provider changes as well as updates and maintenance of credentialing / follow up, as needed. This is a Very detail-oriented position with strict deadlines.

Requirements

  • 1 – 3 years of payer credentialing experience required
  • Knowledge of payer credentialing processes and requirements
  • Experience in a healthcare setting interacting with physicians and other providers
  • Ability to work independently and exercise solid judgment to escalate issues appropriately
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines simultaneously
  • High School diploma / GED required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure collection and verification of all new provider payer credentialing documentation, including but not limited to education, licensure, DEA, board certification and all SPHPMA required documents.
  • Maintain active and accurate Echo One App (Symed) file for each assigned provider
  • Maintain accurate payer credentialing e-files for assigned panel of providers
  • Credential all new providers according to established procedures and timelines
  • Perform all required updates and follow-up on credentialing applications still in process, reviewing and working assigned Echo One App (Symed) alerts timely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with the EPFS, Practice Management and other colleagues regarding insurance participation as well as assisting in the research and resolution of claim issues and/or inquiries potentially related to credentialing.
  • Maintain provider confidentiality handling all PHI appropriately
