Requirements

  • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or equivalent.
  • Current state licensure as a Veterinary Technician.
  • years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of animal behavior and medical terminology.
  • Proficiency in using veterinary software and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
  • Perform laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
  • Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Monitor and record vital signs of animals during procedures.
  • Provide nursing care and support to hospitalized patients.
  • Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic and surgical areas.
  • Assist in managing inventory and ordering of supplies.
