About The Position

The Credentialed School Nurse position at Ro Health is designed for Registered Nurses (RNs) looking to transition into a nursing manager role. Requirements

• California State Nursing License
• Bachelor's Degree
• Current CPR/BLS Card
• Current Negative TB Result
• 2 years of Pediatric Nursing experience (required)

Nice To Haves

• Experience with seizure disorders, insulin injections or pumps, G-Tube feeding & medications, and tracheostomy custodial duties.
• Strong assessment skills and experience writing care plans.
• Ability to handle behavioral issues.

Responsibilities

• Support Ro Health nurses and ensure that all patients receive the highest quality care.
• Train and supervise RNs and LVNs in the team's geographic area.
• Evaluate the fit between nurse and assignment and make recommendations to the Staffing Consultant as needed.
• Act as a clinical expert, resource, problem-solver, and question-answerer for nurses.
• Attend the first day of care for a new student, new nurse, or some combination.
• Conduct site visits to verify that orders are present, current, and documentation is appropriate.
• Respond to nurse concerns and/or questions about medical orders and communicate with Healthcare Providers when needed.
• Review nurse charting/documentation within the first 7 days and advise on Incident Reports.
• Follow up with nurses, district staff, and parents as indicated.
• Attend IEPs or 504 meetings if the contract indicates.
• Obtain orders, and write or edit care plans for Master contract students.
• Provide skills training for nurses hired between annual training.
• Evaluate staff competency in nursing procedures.
