Vox Media's Revenue organization handles advertising and marketing partnerships with brands and agencies, as well as lines of business in consumer revenue and commerce across the organization. Creative Strategy sits within the Vox Creative organization, leading custom campaign conception, big thinking, and storytelling across a myriad of initiatives — the most critical being RFP responses and pitches. Our team has a mission to find that “sweet spot” that sits at the intersection of business objectives and creative solutions, and we aim to master the art of uncovering new narratives and fresh perspectives that tell powerful stories for our brands and our clients.

Requirements

  • 2+ years copywriting or content experience
  • Advertising/Brand, Branded Content, or Editorial writing experience, with a portfolio to share
  • Some experience in working in collaborative sales processes, including the interaction required in an advertising sales environment
  • Proven and tested ability to juggle multiple projects, deal with multiple personalities, and maintain a positive attitude through it all
  • Strong understanding of how to translate the long-term business objectives of advertisers into solutions that could be provided by Vox Creative
  • Ability to evangelize Creative Strategy to internal stakeholders and clients

Responsibilities

  • Create and pitch 360º programs across the brand portfolio, for a multitude of advertisers
  • Work with sales team to create strategically sound communications ideas
  • Present concepts to clients as needed
  • Brief internal teams on the creative vision for every project
  • Collaborate with on strategic thinking and planning for key accounts
  • Utilize Vox Media data (from our Insights and research team) and qualitative insights from competitors, to create unconventional content ideas and strategies
  • Develop a broad understanding of all Vox Media Brands: assets, platforms, products, capabilities and offerings
