About The Position

WXXI /The Little Theatre /CITY is looking for a qualified intern to join our Creative Services team. Under the supervision of WXXI's Communications Manager, this intern will learn about public media and the promotional efforts of the Creative Services Team.

Requirements

• Undergraduate student, currently enrolled in a College program. Marketing, English or Communications majors preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to take direction and multi-task
• Self-disciplined with a strong work ethic
• Knowledge of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with a go-getter attitude
• Follow all NY State Broadcasters Association Internship Program requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist with writing press releases
• Create highlights for the website
• Craft posts for social media
• Conduct research for special projects
• Perform analysis and report on social media trends
• Assist with special events, including a Thursday lunchtime concert series (Hochstein at High Falls)
• Submit a final written report/evaluation at conclusion of internship
• Other duties as assigned
