About The Position

Wave Media Agency is seeking an experienced Project Lead. This individual will play a pivotal role in overseeing our client’s Business & Leadership show, driving the overall content strategy, managing the creative process and ensuring smooth execution across social media initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading projects end-to-end, coordinating teams, and delivering impactful content strategies that drive engagement, virality and growth. In this role, you will guide the creative direction, oversee video production, and align cross-functional stakeholders to bring the client’s vision to life. This role is suited for someone passionate about Business & Leadership, skilled at turning stories into engaging social formats, and adept at managing both the big picture and the finer production details. As a Project Lead, you’ll work collaboratively with WMA’s Content team and our client partners to manage timelines, deliverables and approvals. You will be responsible for overseeing content calendar programming, guiding the production of short-form & long-form video content, ensuring alignment with brand strategy, and driving measurable growth across social platforms.

Requirements

  • Strong interest and understanding of Business & Leadership
  • Proven experience (3+ years) leading projects or teams within social media, content, or digital marketing.
  • Deep knowledge of social and digital platforms, with the ability to guide creative direction and distribution strategies.
  • Strong technical Post Production QC skillset
  • Experience overseeing creative teams with working knowledge of production workflows.
  • Demonstrated success managing, growing and engaging online communities across multiple platforms.
  • Strong grasp of social media style, trends and best practices for Millennial and Gen-Z audiences.
  • Experience in using social media data and analytics to inform strategy, optimize performance and report results
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, comfortable collaborating directly with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Flexible availability to work full-time M–F, with occasional evenings or weekends for events or time-sensitive client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of the show’s social media identity and oversee execution of a programming strategy that leverages video, design, and trends to maximize cultural relevance and engagement.
  • Guide the creative production of short-form video content derived from long-form podcasts/YouTube shows, ensuring alignment with client objectives and brand voice.
  • Oversee content distribution across platforms, managing scheduling, workflow, and coordination with WMA’s content team.
  • Direct community management efforts, ensuring the audience is actively engaged across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
  • Prepare for and lead weekly touchpoints with the internal WMA content team and the client, ensuring alignment on strategy, deliverables, and performance.
  • Partner with the podcast production team in the ideation phase, shaping concepts, themes and creative approaches that help drive compelling and attention-grabbing storylines.
  • Oversee post-production workflows to ensure quality control, accuracy and brand consistency across all final podcast outputs before distribution.
  • Manage timelines and processes in a fast-paced environment that is responsive to Business & Leadership news and current events.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Business, Leadership, and the social media landscape to maximize content engagement, virality, and reach.
  • Oversee creative output across video and graphic assets, ensuring consistent quality and performance benchmarks are met.
  • Provide creative direction and detailed feedback for podcast-related long-form video needs, including design assets such as thumbnails.
  • Continuously refine and optimize creative strategy based on data insights to ensure growth and measurable success.
