The Creative Marketing Production Specialist coordinates the development of print and some digital collateral for a wide variety of marketing campaigns and System initiatives, working closely with external graphic designers and printing services. The position collaborates with the service line marketing team and other System partners to complete projects and requests in a timely manner. This position is responsible for coordination, communication, and quality control of marketing collateral and provides project management for Memorial Hermann’s printed assets. This position typically reports to the Director, Creative Marketing & Production.

  • Oversees and tracks process on projects for large volume print marketing collateral and some digital designs ensuring the creative direction is followed.
  • Coordinates with external designers on project details, sharing assets and direction for production to ensure the creative direction is followed.
  • Communicates with marketing team and other requestors to ensure all members are aligned on objectives and deliverables/requirements.
  • Maintains on-going communication with service line, digital, and creative teams on status of projects; assessing and prioritizing needs and requirements.
  • Provides creative feedback on design creative for projects, digital assets, and photoshoots.
  • Collaborates with internal marketing team members and System partners to effectively deliver requests and initiatives on time and on budget.
  • Assures meeting delivery deadlines for print assets to printer and/or to the requestor are on time.
  • Proactively seeks opportunities for improvement for creative products and processes, identifying areas to update design standards and templates for designers to use. Highlights any potential risks or misses with project or processes and acts proactively to resolve issues.
  • Partners with vendors and contract designers daily on various design projects.
  • Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service.
  • Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff.

  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Art/Design, or related field preferred
  • Two (2) of experience in advertising, print production, marketing, and/or design required
  • Knowledgeable in traditional marketing communications and creative work-flows
  • Strong project management and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly communicate project goals, requirements, timelines, and concerns
  • Knowledge of the creative development process, design tools and principles
  • Familiarity with print and digital mediums with some ability to make design edits
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster interdepartmental relationships
  • Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize and a strong attention to detail
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
