About The Position

This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on H1-B, F-1, OPT, STEM-OPT, or TN visa, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp. This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters or New York City, NY campus (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week. RVGT is Red Ventures’ Growth & Transformation vertical, partnering with leading financial services organizations to help them modernize, differentiate, and grow. We bring together strategy, data, design, and technology to solve complex business problems and deliver customer‑centered experiences. We’re seeking a Creative Manager and strategic experience leader to join RVGT and guide insight-driven experience strategy and delivery for a dedicated client engagement. This role is ideal for someone with a strong product design and user research foundation, who can independently frame and lead qualitative and quantitative research, translate insights into clear experience direction, and guide a team of product designers toward grounded, outcome-driven solutions. You’ll confidently represent experience strategy and design rationale with internal and external senior partner stakeholders, driving alignment and decision-making across user, business, and technical perspectives. Experience applying AI within design and research workflows to accelerate learning, iteration, and collaboration is a strong plus. In this role, you’ll be accountable for shaping end‑to‑end customer experiences, grounding creative decisions in user insight, and ensuring our work reflects the best‑in-class brand, UX, and design practices within the financial services space.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience across the end-to-end design lifecycle, with deep expertise in user research and insight-driven experience strategy
  • Demonstrated expertise in user research methods, including planning studies, conducting research, and translating insights into action
  • Experience leading creative or design work in complex, regulated industries—making thoughtful design tradeoffs to balance user needs, compliance requirements, and business outcomes (financial services experience strongly preferred)
  • Proven ability to be client‑facing—presenting work, influencing stakeholders, and building trust with senior partners
  • A strong portfolio that leans toward demonstrating research framing, synthesis, and impact on experience and business outcomes, with UI or visual design as the outcomes
  • Fluency in design and prototyping tools (Figma, prototyping workflows, design systems)
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills—you can clearly articulate the “why” behind the work
  • Highly collaborative, organized, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfort leading workshops, research readouts, and creative reviews with cross‑functional teams and client leadership
  • A growth mindset—you actively seek feedback and continuously refine your craft

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a consulting or agency environment
  • Deep familiarity with banking or financial services customer journeys
  • Experience independently leading user research programs and mentoring designers or researchers in research planning, method selection, and insight synthesis
  • Experience using a range of qualitative and quantitative research tools and platforms to support usability testing, discovery, and insight generation
  • Background in brand strategy, content strategy, or service design
  • A strong sense of curiosity and empathy for users, with enthusiasm for learning through research and solving complex problems through insight-driven design

Responsibilities

  • Own creative strategy and execution for a dedicated client, ensuring work aligns with user needs, business objectives, and brand standards
  • Lead user research efforts—including discovery, usability testing, and insight synthesis—to inform experience strategy and design decisions. Should have comfort in independently framing research questions, select appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods, and lead deeper research efforts (e.g., ethnography, digital diaries, longitudinal studies).
  • Translate research findings into clear experience frameworks, concepts, and design recommendations
  • Deliver highly polished creative and experience solutions across digital touchpoints (web, product, content, campaigns, etc.)
  • Serve as a client‑facing creative leader, confidently presenting work, explaining rationale, and reinforcing UX, brand, testing insights, and creative best practices with both brand and creative leaders
  • Partner cross-functionally with strategy, analytics, product, and engineering to translate user insights into aligned experience direction and guide work from concept through delivery
  • Balance user needs with business goals, regulatory considerations, and technical constraints
  • Guide and mentor designers and other creatives through feedback, critique, and collaboration
  • Oversee project execution and prioritization, timelines, and quality while managing multiple workstreams
  • Build prototypes and artifacts to test, validate, and iterate on ideas based on research and performance data
  • Be autonomous, accountable, and detail‑oriented—owning outcomes, not just outputs
