As Creative Manager, you’ll lead the visual expression of Mainsail Lodging & Development’s growing portfolio of hotel, restaurant, and lifestyle concepts. From social-first campaign creative and digital assets to brand templates and visual systems, you’ll ensure every touchpoint feels intentional, elevated, and unmistakably Mainsail. This role blends creative leadership with hands-on execution, working closely with marketing and social teams to translate strategy into compelling visual storytelling across platforms. In this highly collaborative role, you’ll guide creative from concept through execution, manage a growing design function, and help build scalable systems that support both current brands and future openings. This role is a hybrid position, requiring two/three days in our Corporate Office. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in graphic design or creative leadership roles
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field (preferred)
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring junior designers or interns
  • Strong visual design skills with a refined eye for layout, typography, and composition
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and collaborative design tools
  • Deep understanding of social media formats and platform-specific creative best practices
  • Ability to balance creative vision with efficiency and scalability
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • Ability to work extended periods at a computer
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Occasional travel as needed for property support or launches
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and adaptability

Responsibilities

  • Creative Leadership & Brand Stewardship: Own and evolve the visual identity across Mainsail’s portfolio, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with brand standards across all channels.
  • Campaign & Asset Development: Lead the creation of digital and print assets, templates, collateral, and campaign visuals that support marketing initiatives, launches, and seasonal promotions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the Social Media Manager and Marketing Manager to translate campaign strategy into compelling visual storytelling.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor the Graphic Design Intern, providing direction, feedback, and growth opportunities while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Scalable Systems & Templates: Develop and maintain brand toolkits, templates, and creative systems that allow teams to work efficiently across multiple brands and platforms.
  • Creative Review & Quality Control: Review and approve creative assets to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and platform-appropriate execution.
  • Trend Awareness & Innovation: Stay current on design, social, and digital trends to continuously elevate creative output and explore new visual approaches.
