About The Position

Adolescent Wellness Academy (AWA) is seeking passionate, creative, and confident Creative Group Facilitators to lead engaging, therapeutic groups for adolescents ages 13–17 in our PHP and IOP programs. This role is ideal for clinicians, certified facilitators, and creative practitioners who thrive in group environments and bring energy, intention, and structure into experiential work with teens. Groups at AWA are a cornerstone of treatment and are designed to help adolescents build emotional awareness, regulation skills, self-expression, and healthy connection — all within a safe, structured, and youth-centered environment. Group facilitation may include (but is not limited to): Art Therapy & Creative Expression Music-Based Groups Yoga, Mindfulness, Movement & Somatic Practices Expressive & Experiential Therapies Psychoeducation & Skills-Based Groups

Requirements

  • One of the following is required: Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Expressive Therapies, or a related field OR Active certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Art Therapy, Music Therapy, Yoga, Mindfulness, Movement, Somatic or Expressive Therapies)
  • Prior experience facilitating groups in PHP and/or IOP settings
  • Experience working with adolescents in behavioral health, therapeutic, or structured group environments
  • Strong group facilitation skills with the ability to engage resistant or high-energy adolescents
  • Ability to work in-person at either our Davie or Boca Raton location

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in adolescent mental health, trauma-informed care, or family systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Creative, flexible, and confident facilitation style
  • Comfortable collaborating within a multidisciplinary treatment team

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate structured, therapeutic group sessions within PHP and IOP levels of care
  • Create and deliver age-appropriate, engaging group content aligned with treatment goals
  • Manage group dynamics while maintaining safety, structure, and therapeutic boundaries
  • Engage adolescents with varying levels of motivation, energy, and emotional regulation
  • Collaborate with clinical and program teams to support overall client progress
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time
  • Maintain a supportive, professional, and trauma-informed group environment
