About The Position

This position is contingent upon contract award SOSi is seeking a highly qualified Creative Director to serve as the single managing director in support of mission-critical strategic communications and information operations. The Creative Director will lead and integrate multidisciplinary creative efforts to deliver compelling, mission-aligned content that supports senior leader engagements, operational messaging, and global dissemination requirements. This role is responsible for ensuring all creative products—graphics, original artwork, photography, video, and digital media—meet commercial-quality standards while aligning with U.S. Government branding, strategic communication objectives, and operational intent. The ideal candidate brings a blend of creative leadership, operational awareness, and experience supporting DoD or interagency environments.

Requirements

  • Possess a current Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • A minimum of ten years’ experience directly managing commercial artists, graphic designers, web designers, photo editors, and other creative staff for professional publications (e.g., Newspapers, magazines, on-line publications) within guidelines established by senior management.
  • Demonstrated experience providing oversight and leadership to creative staff, including commercial artists, graphic designers, web designers, photo editors, and other creative professionals.
  • Proven ability to ensure branding and quality standards are maintained across all artwork, layout, and design.
  • Experience overseeing the creation of graphics, original artwork, photographs, and video content to ensure commercial-quality output.
  • Ability to ensure all creative content aligns with established branding and industry standards.
  • Experience supporting the editorial intent of Government publications through consistent and high-quality creative output.
  • Experience supporting DoD or other federal government communications, public affairs, or information operations efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of digital media production, visual storytelling, and audience targeting.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud suite or equivalent).

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of three years’ experience working with foreign language versions and translations to and from English language publications.
  • Experience supporting strategic communications, psychological operations (PSYOP), or influence campaigns.
  • Familiarity with Joint Staff, or Combatant Command communication structures and processes.
  • Experience developing content for international audiences and cross-cultural environments.
  • Knowledge of data analytics or audience engagement metrics to inform creative decisions.
  • Experience operating in deployed or forward environments supporting operational missions.
  • Background in video production, motion graphics, or interactive media.
