About The Position

The Creative Director will help define, refine, and activate our creative vision and set the standard for the brand’s look, feel, and storytelling. This role presents the opportunity to serve as a leader and contributor; a position that lets you both imagine the work and roll up your sleeves to build it. You’ll report to our Head of Brand and serve as a key creative partner in our brand consolidation, our national campaign development, our visual identity redesign, and the buildout of our brand’s expression across every touchpoint. And because we’re modernizing how creative teams work, you’ll also help define how AI fits into our creative workflows, production processes, and tech stack.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of multi-disciplinary creative experience, with deep expertise in visual and digital design (motion a big plus)
  • A portfolio that shows vision, craft, and versatility – you create brand worlds, not just assets.
  • Experience leading copywriters and shaping verbal expression/narrative direction, even if you’re not the primary writer
  • A track record of leading or contributing to major brand build, redesign, or campaign initiatives, ideally for large-scale or national companies
  • Experience building or scaling an in-house creative team or studio
  • Comfortable working with external agencies – you know how to give clear direction, drive alignment, and elevate the work without heavy-handedness
  • Strong systems thinking – you know how to turn creativity into repeatable structures that enable scale
  • Comfortable using AI creative tools and excited to help us define how AI enhances creative workflows and production
  • Ability to design for multiple purposes – brand storytelling, performance marketing, employee engagement, vendor education, and more

Responsibilities

  • Define and own the creative direction for Renuity across visual, digital, motion, copy, and experiential touchpoints.
  • Serve as a key stakeholder in our visual identity redesign and help bring that identity to life across every medium.
  • Partner with our external agencies to co-develop concepts, elevate creative quality, and ensure every expression ladders up to a cohesive national brand.
  • Hire, mentor, and lead our in-house creative team.
  • Build the operational backbone of the creative function: processes, workflows, templates, guidelines, and scalable systems.
  • Help design our creative tech stack and operational tools, including the integration of emerging AI capabilities.
  • Produce high-visibility creative work and set the standard for creative excellence.
  • Create design systems, templates, and brand guidelines that ensure consistency, flexibility, and speed across every channel.
  • Develop assets and toolkits that support both full-funnel marketing and performance-driven creative needs.
  • Support Marketing, HR, Internal Comms, Ops, Executive Leadership, and other cross-functional teams as their go-to creative partner.
  • Translate business goals into visually compelling work that drives action and connection.
  • Collaborate nationally with cross-functional teams – with occasional travel to support brand-led initiatives.
  • Work closely with agency partners to align on briefs, refine creative concepts, and bring breakthrough ideas to life across channels.
